Tata is one of Asia’s most influencial business men
The Tata group exemplifies India’s metamorphosis into a modern economy.
Zhang yin is one of the richest self made women in the world ,
“women hold up half the sky”,
Chinese society and politics remain dominated by men and there are only 35 women on the Chinese 500 richest list.
By researching these powerful individuals, the spaces that I wanted to create were based on three principles.
Modernism, Minimalism and Fundamentalism.
I wanted to create spaces with a modernist touch, windows stretching from top to bottom and lots of light. It is also important that I acknowlegde the transition between mass and void.
The spaces are integrated but not diffident, the structures are a series of overlapping volumes organised under a L shape roof plane. The spaces achieve their boldest moments with their simplistic design.

draft space for ratan tata
The Shape of the space is in correspondence to the L shapes and the words .
Ratan tata's vision is "Leadership with trust "
"We do this through leadership in sectors of national economic significance, to which the Group brings a unique set of capabilities."
The use of colour in the building is to show a sense of dominance. Often red is considered a warm colour. Surrounding ourselves in a red-coloured Environment will leave us feeling Cozy ,harmonius and may even speed up our perception of time.

Perspectives

My "L" shapes are placed in their selected positions as to justify my understanding of the concepts of power.
Many of the perspectives are based on my first conceptual ideas and they relate to the articles chosen.
-Power is evolved when one is dependent on you.
-Leadership mobilizes others, wanting to struggle for shared aspirations.
-For the fight of power, one needs an innate sense of control.
-Power never takes a step back.
